Optima Onyx Tower is a 29-story LEED Platinum office complex at 1010 S Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach, Florida, delivering roughly 272,000 square feet of Class A office space across 20 office floors set above a nine-story parking garage. Developed by Mexico-based Inmobiliaria Brom, the Bromberg family’s first project outside Mexico City, and designed by Behar Font & Partners, Optima Onyx Tower was completed in 2020 and has since drawn institutional tenants and a $77.2 million refinancing from Barings, underscoring demand in the Hallandale Beach–Aventura office corridor.
Announced tenants include Crystal Cruises (about 15,200 square feet), flexible-workspace operator Industrious (roughly 30,000 square feet across two floors), and Coherent Corp., which took more than 15,000 square feet on the 27th floor.
The 20 office floors offer efficient plates of approximately 16,680 square feet, sized for full-floor corporate headquarters as well as multi-tenant configurations.
The nine-story garage holds 851 spaces, a ratio of about three spaces per 1,000 square feet, with valet service and EV charging stations on site.
Optima Onyx Tower carries LEED Platinum certification and won the USGBC Florida 2024 Building Design + Construction Award. Features include solar panels, a rainwater recycling system, garden and reflecting-pool decks on the fifth and ninth floors, a rooftop pool and fitness center, an outdoor jogging trail, and a full backup generator for business continuity.
The site sits midway between I-95 and the ocean, directly across from Gulfstream Park and about 1.5 miles north of Aventura Mall. The Aventura Brightline station is roughly 1.3 miles away, bus service on US-1 is one block off, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is about 11 miles north.
